With commercial waters dominating the modern match scene, Shimano, in conjunction with commercial ace Steve Ringer and 4 time World Champion Alan Scotthorne have focussed on creating the definitive rod range to suit these venues.
All these rods have a progressive 'never ending' playing action that won't lock under pressure, resulting in a softer connection and fewer hook pulls.
All produced on ultra slim blanks manufactured from high quality carbon and Biofibre, and fitted with robust line guides suited to catching large weights.
Removable counterbalance weights in the butt allow the user to balance the rod perfectly to the reel they are using.
To add an extra touch of quality each rod is supplied with a set of rod bands, and a ready rod sleeve so rods can be left made up and ready to use.
The range comprises;-
9/11ft Pellet - A multi length rod ideally suited to venues where short to mid range casts are needed - unbeatable for hooking fish at short distance. Breaks down as a 2 piece. Recommended lines 1.5-6lb.
11ft 6" Pellet (Image above) - The optimum length for the majority of commercial venues, balancing the length of the rod to achieve distance with pinpoint accuracy, but retaining better control whilst playing and landing fish.
Recommended lines 1.5-6lb.
12ft 6" Pellet - Similar action to the 11ft 6" but will cast the extra distance sometimes needed. Soft action allows extremely light baits to be punched out at distance. Recommended lines 1.5-6lb.
12ft Floatcast - A big waggler rod in a convenient 2-piece set-up. Doubles as a big fish pellet rod retaining the action that will cushion every lunge, but with that bit more power to use heavier lines and land fish quicker. Recommended lines 3-10lb.
13ft Floatcast - A 13ft casting rod which still retains a progressive action. Will easily cast a baggin' waggler 50m, but will cushion any runs or lunges whilst playing and landing larger fish. Recommended lines 3-10lb.
