The Horizon Distance Spod rod builds on the exceptional pedigree of our Horizon range to produce a blank that will cast the largest of spods as far as is physically possible. In testing this rod has cast a fully loaded TB1 spod weighing over 7ozs in excess of 140 yards.
This is a specialist tool and is best suited to anglers casting spods with a loaded weight in excess of 4½ozs – smaller, lighter spods simply don’t compress the blank enough to get the best out of it. This is a powerhouse of a rod that will genuinely reach previously unachieved distances with medium to large spods.
Utilising Fox Tri-Lites, our unique distance guides with low profile, high performance inserts housed within a stainless steel triple leg frame. These are designed to be extremely strong but also exceptionally lightweight.
