Pellet waggler fishing has become the tactic of the last few years, and Shimano have come up with two rods for the job.
Firstly the multi-length 9/11ft which, when assembled at 9ft, gives you the perfect rod for those swims where space is tight and the fish are just out of pole range. At 11ft, it's a rod that really can cope with anything that is put in front of it in terms of fish size.
The 11ft 6" offers that little bit more in terms of casting distance, whilst also having a little bit more in the locker in terms of power to cope with those bigger commercial water carp. The fact that the 11ft 6" is Steve Ringer's number one choice for waters such as Boddington and Earlswood says a lot about just what this rod is capable of. Put quite simply there's nothing the 11ft 6" can't do.
With carp getting bigger and bigger in commercial fisheries across the country, no range would be complete without a 12ft power float rod. This rod is ideal for everything from heavy splasher waggler work, to dealing with conventional float work for big carp in the margins. The clue to what this rod is capable of is in the name. The Power Pellet (Green i.d. band, not as per image) has bags of strength, so if you have a water with good sized carp then this is the ideal rod for you.
