Century has now completed the design and evaluation process for the new Tip Tornado LD Super Match.

The design guru is Jeremy Schrader – a highly effective international angler based in Melbourne, Australia. Jeremy is a competitive angler and a regular caster on the World
tournament scene. Jeremy has fished the UK coastline extensively on his regular trips to UK.

The existing Tip Tornado LD has been a huge success both for Century, dealers and anglers alike. The deceptive power in such a low diameter rod has gained a strong following, and the look and feel of this rod has been accepted as truly innovative.

The logical progression was the Super Match version that delivers enhanced bite sensitivity for anglers that look for tip movement rather than rattle bites associated with bigger fish.

The new Super Match will undoubtedly cater for large fish as there is a considerable amount of engineering in the butt section to deliver low down grunt as well as a sweet J curve. The rod is subject to Centurys' Autoclave Technology cure cycle for extended life.

For the past 30 years Century has fitted Fuji BNHG style guides to their marine shore rods. This guide pattern has proven to be very durable and reliable however Fuji has released a guide that Century think is better. It is the KWAG series (see image below) constructed from polished marine grade stainless steel with an Alconite centre.

The main features that Century endorse on this guide are deep pressed, compact frame that sits well on casting rods yet still eliminates any area where line can "catch" on guide frame. The flared frame radius exceeds ring diameter allowing looped-line tangles to slip forward and release automatically. The slightly forward ring angle promotes fast, "self-starting" tangle release.
