Yes it is expensive but look around and you can get this belter of a bedchair for under 90 quid delivered. First thing that you will notice is the weight, or lack of i should say, this is not a million miles of being a stone lighter than my old Daiwa Mission bedchair and if you carry your gear you sure as hell are going to appreciate that! In use the bed is very, very comfortable indeed and it is wide enough so that you do not have any ratchets in your arms when laid flat on it, it is long enough for everyone under 6 foot tall and can take up to 22 stone in weight. The built in but removable pillow may not be to everyones liking but i really liked it.
If you use a pram hood type bivvy like a JRC STI then this bedchair is the one for you, it is slightly lower than normal and this makes moving about and getting out of the bivvy in a rush easier thanks to the extra headroom you get.
To sum up this bedchair not only performs fantastically, it is very stable, light and really well made. |
