Three larger GS reels comprising the 535GS, 545GS and monster 555GS are ready,
willing and able to provide all the capacity, grunt and castability you will ever need.
All three reels have centrifugal brakes, powerful 6 to 1 retrieve (5.3 : 1 for the 555)
huge main and pinion gears, drags that really work and the low down grunt to wind
in smoothly, even with a fish kicking and screaming on the other end. Both pinion
gear and spindle are supported by bearings so when the pressure is on the drive train
remains in perfect alignment.
However, for those who prefer the ultimate control of a minutely adjustable magnetic
braking system there is a Mag T version of all three reels incorporating a single rare earth
on a wind in wind out stud for the ultimate in control.
All reels feature superb drags utilising Penn’s powerful HT-100™ multi disc drag system
for total control over anything pulling the other way. Penn’s awesome Verso-drag system
allows you to adjust the drags washers to provide a feather light touch right up to a full on
drag to tame whatever roams the oceans.
The system is protected for continuous optimum performance by a special collar to seal out
any contaminates. A roller bearing provides one way anti-reverse that completely eliminates
handle kick back. All this power is under the control of a two position power handle with
ergonomic soft grip to take full advantage of the high speed gearing.
