At this price, these are rods you just can't afford to do without. The 2 piece seven footer is the tough nut, the jungle stick, the bully-boy for close-quater big fish hunting. Total stopping power but without that stiffness that results in pulled hooks. The standard 2 piece nine foot version is infinitely adaptable. A brilliant close quarter snag rod. Superb close-in surface work. A spinning rod. A touch-ledgering rod. A big fish world adventure.
To complete the Stalkers we now have a 9 to 12 footer (Image above) - a nine foot 3 piece rod with a three-foot extension that gives you the flexibility of a twelve-foot rod when it's needed. Just think. There are times when a longer rod is necessary perhaps to poke a bait out over some troublesome weeds or snags. Perhaps that extra length will give you a better angle when it comes to placing a bait or to playing a fish. When you're stalking big fish in challenging situations you're going to meet endless different demands - pack it in the car, a suitcase, pop it into a rod tube. An adaptable multisection rod that you can take anywhere.
Features inc:-
- Anti-flash matt grey carbon finish
- Fuji reel seats, hook keepers, premium-grade cork handles
- SIC rings
- Unconditional lifetime guarantee

'AWESOME - HAS LANDED HUGE FISH FOR ME' |
|
| Strengths: |
Progressive, through action - this is a powerful rod (probably ~2.75 lb TC) that bends down to the handle, absorbing the lunges of big fish. It casts surprisingly well too - certainly far enough for many small venues. Top quality fittings including Fuji reel seat & SIC rings. Light & well balanced, with perfect handle length. |
| Weaknesses: |
I can't fault this rod - it is perfect for close quarter encounters in overgrown swims. |
| Overall: |
This little rod landed some huge carp for me in France, including my 58lb PB. These fish were played with the rod tip underwater (to avoid trailing branches)and most were landed very quickly, without suffering a single hook-pull. I've also used it successfully for floater fishing - it casts a 2oz controller nicely - and plan to do some plugging for pike. I've ordered a second 7' Stalker - I can't give any higher recommendation than that. |
