With commercial waters dominating the modern match scene, Shimano, in conjunction with commercial ace Steve Ringer and 4 time World Champion Alan Scotthorne have focussed on creating the definitive rod range to suit these venues.
All these rods have a progressive 'never ending' playing action that won't lock under pressure, resulting in a softer connection and fewer hook pulls. All produced on ultra slim blanks manufactured from high quality carbon and Biofibre, and are fitted with robust line guides suited to catching large weights.
Removable counterbalance weights in the butt allow the user to balance the rod perfectly to the reel they are using.
To add an extra touch of quality each rod is supplied with a set of rod bands, and a ready rod sleeve so rods can be left made up and ready to use.
The range comprises;-
9/11ft Multi (Image above) - Three seperate top sections (0.75oz, 2oz and 3oz) blend the action through a choice of middle sections into the butt, offering 3 different rods at 2 different lengths. Casts 10-70g.
11ft 6" Feeder - A truly versatile rod covering all close in to medium range feeder work. Designed with 3 seperate top sections (1oz, 2oz and 3oz) to retain a great playing action, the Commercial is capable of punching a feeder to distance. Breaks down to 2 piece for easy transport. Casts 10-100g.
12ft 6" Distance Feeder - The tip guides have a large internal diameter to enable safe use of shockleaders. Works well as a distance bream rod, showing the shiest bites. Developed with 3 seperate top sections (1oz, 2oz and 3oz) for a crisp powerful action. Casts 25-110g.
