100% stainless means exactly that. We see no point incorporating 'softer' materials. It's not hard to work out that if stainless tube is jointed to plastic or aluminum bosses (simply because it's easy and cheap to manufacture) something's got to give...and it won't be the stainless item.
Of course, stainless steel is more expensive. But it is extremely cost-effective, outlasting aluminum banksticks tenfold and is never bending!
