The X-Flite Plus 50 is a new addition to Greys carp rod range. Not only does it differ cosmetically to the existing X-Flite, but the blank has a slight taper change to help further increase the power in the butt section despite being slightly lighter than the original X-Flite.
Perfect for achieving greater distances especially when using PVA bags and Stringers at range.
This is further aided with the addition of the new 50mm butt guides and new ringing diameter pattern of 50mm, 40mm, 30mm, 20mm, 16mm and 14mm perfect for big pit reels and heavy shock leaders.

Strengths:

Superb,smooth casting,lightweight,excellent fish handling capabilities,looks great,lifetime guarentee.

Weaknesses:

None at all.

Overall:

These rods are outrageously good.I have the 3 pounders and they feel and look like a 2.5,until the extra mileage is required. The soft tip is a joy and equally at home playing fish at distance or under the tip.When playing larger fish the quality and power really kicks in,and I have 100% confidence that these rods will take anything im lucky enough to throw at them. These rods look classy and although I had misgivings originally about the shiny black finish,(I prefer matt finish) I have grown to love it. The lifetime guarentee is worth its weight in gold and gives that extra security for idiots like me who regulary stands on his rods. Ive found the 3lb rods perfect and certainly dont forsee an upgrade for a very,very long time.
