This fish was caught at a 65 acre Southern Pit in December 2004.

The fish was taken at 150 yards range in a silty area. I fished over 11 kilos of 15mm Mainline freezer bait and 10 kilos of hemp. the fish was caught on an overnight session between work and is a new lake record.

Tackle used was 8lb mono mainline, this was to achieve the necessary range. I had to play the fish very carefully and it took approximately 40 minutes to land. I also caught the same fish in June 2004 when it weighed 37lb 13oz.
